Sofia - Day 2

Today was the first “real” day of the Erasmus Intensive Programme. Me and Laura wanted to get up at 7 a.m. but Laura forgot to change her clock (it’s one hour later here than in Belgium) so we got up at 8 a.m. We were supposed to meet the rest at 8:15 so we rushed and surprisingly got there in time. We had a crappy hotel breakfast and hopped on an organized bus to the New Bulgarian University. It looked a lot nicer and more modern than I had in mind. The University was established by the French after the fall of the communists. The day existed out of “welcomes” and “thank you“‘s and in the afternoon we had to do a presentation about Local Social Policy in Belgium. We did well and were easily the best prepared group out of all. The hard work payed off after all. In the evening there was a welcome dinner at a cozy place and I ate too much. After that we went to a pub and I drank too much. The rest of the evening I spent at the room of the Portugese group. They’re all so nice.
